CAPSI & CIVIL DEFENCE TO WORK TOGETHER
On 14th May 2025, a delegation of CAPSI met Sh Vivek Srivastava IPS. DG Civil Defence, Home Guards and Fire Services at his headquarters. We presented our proposal to collaborate and support his organisation in any event that may require engagement of private security guards and officer in securing citizens. We discussed the need to upskill our workforce so that the task given can be accomplished efficiently. Sh Vivek Srivastava gladly accepted our proposal and offer to carry our TOT programme so that officers and supervisors can be trained to impart further training to security workforce. He also proposed to accord a status of Wardens to our supervisors so that a well structured system can be established. We agreed to sign a MoU with his department for better understanding and execution . He deputed his ADG to address CAPSI leadership including State Chapters office bearers on a virtual conference. He was quite happy to know that CAPSI is offering it collective services for the Nation and appreciated the wider role of CAPSI in securing the Nation within. It was also decided to hold state level conferences on Civil Defence in collaboration with his department. Sh Mahesh Sharma, Lt Gen A B Shivane, Sh Bhagwan Shankar IAS ( R) and Ms Lydia took part in the very meaningful discussion.
